This juxtaposition is a visual representation of a memory. It is a memory of an afternoon when I observed the wings of a dragonfly through the microscope at RISD’s Edna Lawrence Nature Lab, and right after went to the Ladd Observatory, in Providence RI, and looked through the telescope for the first time and saw Saturn. I digitally created the juxtaposition with a photograph I took with the microscope and a found photograph of Saturn. I used the Van Dyke brown photographic process on Kitakata paper.
